Ellyn Bader, PhD
Psychologist in private practice and an internationally recognized expert in couples therapy training, Dr. Bader is Co-Director of The Couples Institute in Menlo Park, California. For the past 20 years she has conducted professional training programs in couples therapy in the US, Europe, South America and Australia. Dr. Bader is past-president of the International Transactional Analysis Association and a recipient of the Clark Vincent Award for an outstanding literary contribution for the field of marital therapy from the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She and her husband, Peter Pearson, PhD, have co-authored, In Quest of the Mythical Mate: A Developmental Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment in Couples Therapy. Their latest book, Tell Me No Lies: How to Face the Truth and Build an Honest Marriage, helps couples recognize the essential ingredients in flourishing marriages.

Board certified clinical psychologist and marital and family therapist. He maintains a dual faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry at both Harvard Medical School and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dattilio is one of the leading figures in the world on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. He is author of 230 professional publications, including 15 books. He also is the recipient of numerous state and national awards. His works have been translated into 25 languages and are used in 80 countries.

World renowned for his work on marital stability and divorce prediction, involving the study of emotions, physiology and communication, John Gottman was recently voted as one of the Top 10 Most Influential Therapists of the Past Quarter-Century by the Psychotherapy Networker magazine. 30 years of breakthrough research on marriage and relationships have earned him numerous major awards. Author of 190 published academic articles, and author or co-author of 40 books, including the NY Times best seller, Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Dr. Gottman is co-founder of the Gottman Institute where he currently teaches weekend workshops for couples and training workshops for clinicians. Executive Director of the Relationship Research Institute, which creates programs for new parents and treatments for domestic violence. Dr. Gottman also is in private practice in Seattle, Washington, and sees couples for weekly and intensive marathon therapy sessions.
Steven Frankel, PhD, JD

ABPP certified clinical and forensic psychologist, as well as attorney at law, Dr. Frankel has been on the faculty of the University of Southern California for over 35 years and is currently a Clinical Professor of Psychology. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) and is now an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University School of Law. Dr. Frankel has taught courses on healthcare policy, regulation of healthcare practice and mental disorder and the law. Author of over 50 articles and book chapters, he has won the USC Award for Teaching Excellence early in his academic career and is nationally recognized for his expertise, sense of humor and ability to bring his course material to life.

Her expertise has led to appearances on Oprah, The Today Show, and CNN, and a regular contributor to popular magazines. Her newest book, How to Improve Your Marriage without Talking about It, is co-authored by Steven Stosny.

She has been featured in Newsweek, Vogue, The Washington Post, the Boston Globe, and has appeared on the Oprah Show. She is currently the President of the Robbins-Madanes Center for Strategic Center for Strategic Intervention in La Jolla, California.

Born and raised in Belgium, Esther Perel holds degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Lesley College. She was trained and supervised in family therapy by Dr. Salvador Minuchin and serves on the faculties of the Department of Psychiatry, New York University Medical School, and International Trauma Studies Program, in affiliation with Columbia University. Ms. Perel is the author of the widely acclaimed book, Mating in Captivity: Reconciling the Erotic and the Domestic (2006) – published by Harper Collins in North America and translated into 20 languages. She has written numerous articles and chapters about intermarriage, the families of Holocaust survivors, cross cultural couples and cultural and religious identity. Ms. Perel’s innovative strategies have won her an international clientele of non-profit organizations, foundations, schools, community groups and corporations. She is a member of the American Family Therapy Academy and the Society of Sex Therapy and Research.

Dr. Solomon is an associate of the American Psychoanalytic Association, a member of the California Psychoanalytic Society, a Research Analyst of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis, a fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and a member of the Division of Psychoanalysis, American Psychological Association. She is author, co-author, editor or co-editor of seven books, and is currently co-writing a new book with Stan Tatkin, Love and War in Intimate Relationships.

Founder and Director of the Milton H. Erickson Foundation. He has edited, co-edited, authored or co-authored more than 20 books on psychotherapy that appear in 11 foreign languages. Dr. Zeig is the architect of The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences, which are considered the most important conferences in the history of psychotherapy. He organizes the Brief Therapy Conferences, the Couples Conferences and the International Congresses on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psycholtherapy. A psychologist in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Zeig conducts workshops internationally (40 countries). He is president of Zeig, Tucker & Theisen, Inc., publishers in the behavioral sciences.
