The 25th anniversary event of the Couples Conference offers a diversified group of keynote addresses and workshops focused on differing methods for couples’ counseling
Phoenix, AZ – The Couples Conference, organized by The Milton H. Erickson Foundation and The Couples Institute, gives mental health professionals the opportunity to learn differing approaches to couples’ therapy that facilitates intimacy through effective communication.
In 2020, the Couples Conference will feature an expert faculty who will cover a wide array of couples issues faced today, such as infidelity, forgiveness, transgender relational issues, multicultural awareness, personality disorders, passive aggression and more. Keynote speakers for this event include Janis Abrahms Spring, Stan Tatkin, Bill Doherty, Jeffrey Zeig, Ellyn Bader, Terry Real and Harville Hendrix & Helen LaKelly Hunt. Workshops and other sessions will be presented by Steve Frankel, Shawn Giammattei, Martha Kauppi, Peter Pearson, Caroline Welch, and Joseph Winn.
Conference attendees will attend a variety of sessions to increase their clinical effectiveness, allowing attendees to compare various professional perspectives; translate those into specific interventions. Also featured are techniques on how to utilize multi-level therapeutic communication, the commonalities of successful clinical work, and the appreciation of historical development of psychotherapeutic disciplines. This is a tremendous opportunity for health or mental health professionals, regardless of background experience, to further their knowledge of couples therapy, while receiving up to 25 hours of continuing education credits.
The Couples Conference will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in sunny California.
